The ReSew blog tour, day nine: V and Co.

Welcome to day nine of the

INCREDIBLE

001RESEW1
BLOG TOUR!

With sharp, stylish designs, straight talk, and a good dose of humor, Vanessa's posts at V and Co. are just plain 'ol addicting. Her Fabric Flower Ring tute and Fabric Bracelet pattern make me wish I would've thought of them first. She's got categories called "It's All About Me," "My Crazy Kids," and "Somebody Shoot Me." Go for the craft, stay for the talk.

VandCo
Head over to Vanessa's blog and read what she has to say about ReSew. She'll be hosting a giveaway of the book at a later date–she's offered to share her experience with the book by actually making one of the projects from it. Talk about an honest review! Got me shaking in my boots a bit, even.

Hope you'll join Vanessa today! If you do, I bet you'll want to visit her again tomorrow.

The ReSew blog tour, day seven: Resweater!

Welcome to day seven of the

INCREDIBLE

001RESEW1
BLOG TOUR!

Today, join me for a special ReSew Q & A with Kris at Resweater–and get inspired to transform anything wool into something wonderful!

Resweater
At Resweater, Kris not only blogs about the one-of-a-kind designs she creates (and shows she made them), she also takes weekly thrift-store trips to find the best wool sweaters, and then sells them on her site at a great bargain. And we’re talking very cool wool: in addition to wool and wool blends, she carries cashmere, alpaca, and yak (!) sweaters, vintage sweaters, and froggable wools and merinos. She's like your own personal shopper for all things wool. Love that!

I wish I lived closer to this fun and friendly gal–I do believe we could really do some damage together at the thrift store. Hope you'll join us today for Kris's Q & A and giveaway!

The ReSew blog tour, day five: I am Momma . . . Hear Me Roar!

Welcome to day six of the

INCREDIBLE

001RESEW1
  BLOG TOUR!

Momma–also known as Cheri–has a roar that you can hear all throughout the craft blogosphere! At I Am Momma Hear Me Roar, Cheri is not only fabulously creative; she truly writes from the heart. Her "Wake Up Wednesdays" are one of the most creative weeklies I've ever seen on a blog. Each week, Cheri challenges you to seek out ways to perform an act of kindness in your community. The posts have completely inspired me to act. And that, I think, is a whole new level of creativity.

Iammommahearmeroar Her recipe for success also includes a heapin' spoonful of adorable photos of her little boys. I'm such a sucker for that! Head over to ROAR today for a ReSew review and giveaway, all part of Cheri's Soapbox Saturday feature. Thanks, Cheri! I hear your roar.

The ReSew blog tour, day five: everyone flock to Crafty Nest!

Welcome to day five of the

INCREDIBLE

001RESEW1
BLOG TOUR!

Today the ReSew tour is dropping by Crafty Nest, built by a woman with a sharp eye for style and a passion for doing chic on the cheap. I first found Monica's site when Jack and I made these fabulously huge snowflakes two Christmases ago, and I've followed her ever since.

Craftynest
Monica's had an impressive work history as a graphic designer for O, The Oprah Magazine, Real Simple, and Sunset. Just head over to her tutorial page and you'll see why she's a favorite to follow. Plus, she loves to upcycle! I got a kick out of what she says about upcycling on her blog:

"I attempt to keep my projects as easy as possible for people like me who don’t have a lot of time to kill. However, they invariably end up being more difficult than I plan."

Monica, I couldn't have said it better myself.

Head on over to Crafty Nest today for a Q & A with Monica and me, and enter to win a copy of ReSew while you're there!

Craft Gossip
Just about anyone who's crafty knows about CraftGossip–one of the best places on the internet to visit when you need a jolt of inspiration. Anne, the curator of the sewing section of CraftGossip, is a friendly, funny woman who brings the freshest ideas in creativity to her site every day. Today Anne's reviewing ReSew and hosting a giveaway of the book too! Head over here to check it all out.

the ReSew blog tour, day three: meet Amy, and her very creative side

Welcome to day three of the

INCREDIBLE

001RESEW1

BLOG TOUR!

If you are a quilter–or if you've ever wanted to be–you will love the view over at:

Amys-Creative-Side-large

I think I'd like to dub the woman behind Amy's Creative Side with a new name–Amy-zing! Her blog shot into much-deserved fame from the get-go; she has her own beautiful quilt book out, called Modern Basics; and she and a friend have singlehandedly created the Sewing Summit, a sewing and blogging conference for the modern sewist, to be held this October in Salt Lake City. Whew! (When I think about the Sewing Summit I get so excited I almost pee my pants. Seriously.)

Head on over to Amy's place to get her take on ReSew, see some interior shots from the book, and enter to win a free copy of the book too! And while you're there, don't miss the chance to check out this prolific quilt designer's work. She is a powerhouse of ideas for gorgeous, streamlined, modern style. I wanna drape my house with her quilts, inside and out. My grass and trees, too.
